You'd never know we were in a recession...

I rang a domestic cleaning company an hour and a half ago. The receptionist was strangely unable to tell me exactly what services they offer, and said someone would ring me back shortly. I've just phoned again as I don't regard an hour and a half as 'shortly', and asked when I could expect a call as I have things to do. Was amazed to hear that the receptionist had 'no idea' as they were 'very busy'. So courting possible new clients isn't top of the busy list then, for a company called Time For You...

  1. Time for You! They're having a laugh, arent' they??!

If you wanted to pursue it a bit more, you could quite possibly ask for the receptionist's name, then ask to speak to the manager - seems like she's fobbing you off a bit!

  2. A whole working day has passed, and they've still not called back - what a way to do business!!

  3. I've just phoned for the third time, and now been told that both partners have been out all day - so why didn't someone ring me back to tell me that? I've been hanging about all flipping day. Also, I'm amazed that a receptionist can't supply details of exactly what domestic work the company will and won't do. Replace her with a free answering service and save a wage, I say - it would do exactly the same job!

  5. My husband has received similar service from two gaming machine supply companies - complete lack of communication. Needless to say that these two companies will not be given any contract if they ever do call back, the contract has been awarded to a third company. They obviously don't want new customers and I always add companies like that to my personal "black list".
